We may not have the luxury of physically seeing Jesus, but we can still imagine His presence. Close your eyes, turn on some music, and imagine being in the same room with Jesus. Imagine touching His hands or watching Him take away the pain of someone you love. When you do this exercise, you may feel a burning sensation in your heart. This exercise can change your perspective, strength, endurance, and capacity to love. I promise that as you do this, you will feel strengthened by the love and power of Christ.

The human need for touch is undeniable, and hugging is one great way of expressing love and connection to those around us. As a result, people have embraced, shook hands, bumped knuckles, kissed, held, and brushed-up-against throughout history. Even back in biblical times, there are numerous examples of people physically connecting with Jesus Christ after His resurrection. These encounters are significant and bring the spirit because they demonstrate how a touch motivated by love can communicate the message, "I am here," in a universal way—regardless of gender, race, or language.
